Academic Director | Research Scientist | Strategic Educator
I am the Academic Director for Data Science & Analytics at Kaplan Business School, where I lead the strategic direction of the discipline across six national campuses. With a PhD in Engineering & Computer Science from The Australian National University and CSIRO, I combine executive academic governance with deep technical expertise to bridge the gap between advanced research and applied educational strategy.
My work focuses on:
- Strategic Leadership: Overseeing the academic governance, quality assurance, and (re)accreditation of Master’s programs to align with industry demands and regulatory compliance. I provide leadership to faculty and manage discipline resources to foster a culture of high performance.
- Research & Grant Success: Leading technical authorship for competitive grant proposals, securing external funding from bodies like the Australian Research Council and CSIRO. My research in cybersecurity and internet of things has resulted in multiple patents peer-reviewed publications and global collaborations with institutions such as Princeton University.
- AI Innovation: Directing internal digital transformation initiatives, such as AI-enabled learning analytics systems, to scale student support. This work was recognised with the Kaplan Global Award for excellence in AI-driven continuous transformation.
